'Faith in God for a better Future'

Association 'Faith & Future' is a non-profit NGO,

dedicated to faith and freedom,

devoted to human rights and dignity, and

driven to create a better future towards peace.

Faith &
Freedom

Every human being should live freely and be able to practice the faith (or religion) of their choosing.

Religious freedom is a fundamental human right.

Human Rights
& Dignity

Human rights are vital in a society striving towards justice, peace and prosperity. Human rights should be based on human dignity. Every human being is equal with intrinsic value.

Future
& Peace

Humanity is creating the future in the present. We wish it to be a future of peace. Every human being can contribute towards this by living in love and respect for others.

Why Faith?

Why is faith good and important?

Faith gives people hope, values, and answers to the fundamental questions of life: Who am I? Why am I here? How shall I live? These are questions of identity, meaning and purpose, which all human beings ask themselves. Unless we answer these questions for ourselves, there will always be a certain dissatisfaction and uncertainty to life.

Religion in general, and Christianity in particular, provide meaningful answers to these questions (more on our Blog). The metaphysical realities as explained by the Christians faith give people a hope in this life and beyond it. This gives comfort in suffering and a hope that transcends our daily struggles. Faith answers the deeper questions of life and gives a sense of direction in life.

What gives Meaning to Life?

Life and Meaning

What gives meaning to life? Life is both simple and complex; it's simple in that it takes simple values and principles to help others improve their lives, but it's complex in finding the right ways in doing so. But one thing is clear from the Bible: God loves each human being and wants the best for them! His plans are good, to give us a 'future and a hope' (Jeremiah 29:11). God is good and He does good (Psalm 119:68). God has prepared 'good works' for people to discover and walk in, even before they were born (Ephesians 2:10).

According to the biblical worldview, human beings are not 'highly developed monkeys' as a result of random evolution, but special creations created in the image of God (imago Dei) with dignity and purpose. We are relational beings, not simply utilitarian machines. The biblical philosophy is not about 'the survival of the fittest,' but for humans to serve others with love and humility from a pure heart for the benefit of others. Selfless, sacrificial love has long been the mark of those who have given their lives for a cause to improve the lives of others.

Christianity and Morality

Why are Christian morals good?

Christianity is at the root of Western and other civilisations, has formed its ethos and legal systems, and has improved lives and societies the world over. Christianity's values have been hailed as the world's highest moral standard. The teachings of Christ have been admired by people from different races and religions, from Mahatma Gandhi to Mother Teresa, from Martin Luther King Jr. to Elvis Presley. Only John Lennon claimed to be more famous than Jesus Christ! But was he right? Be that as it may, let's look at a fundamentally important rule of Christianity morality.

'Treat others the same way you want them to treat you.'

-Jesus of Nazareth (Luke 6:31)

'Faith & Future' seeks to promote these good moral values and practical principles in a relevant way to people's every day life. Our mission is to show how biblical morality is good for individuals, families and society as a whole, and how following biblical principles can improve life and increase happiness. Life becomes meaningful and beautiful, not just a competition for more money and power at the expense of others.
